Linkilaw’s team, including Petar Petkov (Senior Solicitor) assisted by Lauren Webb (Legal Project Manager) and Alexandra Barkho (Trainee Solicitor), have contributed to the latest edition of the Romanian Arbitration Journal (Issue 1/2025). The Romanian Arbitration Journal (including its archive) is contained in Wolters Kluwer Romania’s Sintact legal database and in the Kluwer Arbitration database joining the esteemed periodicals there.

Our paper titled “Caught in the Middle – Competing Jurisdictions, Anti-Suit Injunctions, Anti-Anti-Suit Injunctions, Sanctions and Article 248 of the Russian Commercial Procedure Code,” offers a timely and in-depth analysis of the legal tensions arising from cross-border disputes involving Russian jurisdiction and sanctioned parties.

The paper explores the growing complexity at the intersection of international arbitration, English civil procedure, and Russian commercial litigation—focusing on interim remedies like anti-suit and anti-anti-suit injunctions. It also examines the latest judicial developments surrounding Article 248 of the Russian Commercial Procedure Code, particularly in light of evolving sanctions regimes.

This is essential reading for practitioners and scholars involved in cross-border dispute resolution, international arbitration, and sanctions compliance.
