Compliance Administrator / Compliance Analyst

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Compliance Administrator to join a law firm on a flexi-remote work schedule with up to 2 days a week work from the office in Central London.

We are a small, close-knit team working on exciting cases, and priding ourselves in having a great working culture.

The successful candidate must have prior experience working within a compliance department of a legal or financial industry. Other experience in compliance or governance will be considered.

Qualities such as demonstrating good judgement and business awareness, being flexible and able to adapt to new situations are strong requirements for this role.

Excellent communication and organisational skills;

Very high attention to detail;

Good analytical skills;

Advanced IT skills (as a minimum we need you to be proficient in MS Office Suite including Microsoft Word and Excel and familiar with Apple computers and OS; you need to be able to manage a set-up of your computer periphery while working from home; you need to have a good level of understanding of SAAS products and ability to adapt your working style to new practice and risk management products being deployed by the firm).

Degree in law; governance or administration.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Checking/opening new client requests for Money Laundering
  • Carrying out KYC with the addition of risk analysis and ensuring client records are up-to-date
  • Onboarding new clients accurately and efficiently
  • Drafting internal compliance procedures and documentation
  • Supporting the firm’s Compliance Officer on day-to-day tasks and projects
  • Assisting with the development of the firms AML processes and procedures
  • Dealing with general internal and external client queries
  • Collating and analysing data, including from the data sets using Excel
  • Working with the technology team and the DPO to ensure GDPR and security compliance
